The Camino Way 2016
Fundraising is an important part of our activities each year. Following on from our successful Camino Walks in 2014 & 2015 we have once again selected the Camino de Santiago as our major fundraising event for this year. Our brochure is featured below and we are seeking twenty participants for the walk which will take place between the 24th of September and the 1st of October. A small deposit of €200 is required to secure a place. An information pack is available from our National Office: 045-483735, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Portuguese Coastal Way
The second section of the Portuguese Coastal Way or 'Caminho da Costa' starts in the elegant seaside town of Baiona, in the heart of the Rías Baixas, famous for its Albariño white wine and delicious shellfish. Visit the Monte Real castle, stroll along the port and go for a swim in the bay before you start your journey to Santiago. From Baiona, you will follow the coast towards Vigo, enjoying the views of the magnificent Illas Cíes and the bay along the way.
The Portuguese Coastal Way joins the Portuguese Way in the town of Redondela so you will continue your Camino de Santiago walk through the lovely city of Pontevedra, the spa town of Caldas de Reis, Padrón and finally Santiago de Compostela where you can claim your ‘Compostela’ certificate!
Over the past two years around €40,000 has been raised through the two Camino Way Walks and we hope to raise a further €20,000 this year. If the Camino is on your 'Bucket List' why not make it extra special and raise funds for Camphill as well as fulfilling a dream? As of the 11th of April there are only four places remaining! Don't get left out, please book today...
