Career Break Opportunities

Many  people come to a point in their lives when they might want to take a career break. They may look for a change or find that they look for a life more meaningful, than their present situation. Camphill can really benefit from people that bring life experience, a certain maturity and idealism. Whether you want to join Camphill as a family or as an indivdual, talk to us regarding different opportunities, that exist whether on a short term or longterm basis.

We are particularly interested to hear from families or individuals with relavant or transferable experiences, such as social care, social work, farming, horticulture,crafts on management experience. Our communities will assist with training, supervision and mentoring to ensure that the new experience is a positive one.

3 Lifesharing Live-In FEMALE CO WORKERS URGENTLY REQUIRED From 01 Sep 2018

We are looking for motivated, energetic and responsible volunteers interested in joining our life sharing community to live and work alongside adults with special needs.

You will join a vibrant young team of about 12 -14 young adults between the ages of 18-24 from many different countries. The role involves living in a household in the community together with adults with special needs, supporting them in their day to day needs and work life. This role would best suit empathetic, caring and responsible people with a strong sense of commitment. Good English is essential and preference is given to those who can commit for the full year.

A keen interest in adults with special needs is required. An interest in social care, art, music, farming/gardening, homemaking or a specific craft is an advantage. English language is a key requirement. Full training and induction into the role will be provided as well as mandatory external training. Reflective supervision is provided on a one to one basis at regular intervals.

You will be supporting a self directed living of an individual with an intellectual disabilities as well as supporting others in the organisation.

The role involves living in a household in the community together with adults with special needs, supporting them in their day to day needs and work life. ?We are specifically looking for volunteers with experience or a strong interest in working on our farm to assist the farm manager which will potentially involve working unsociable hours compared with the other workshops.
 
A keen interest in adults with special needs is required. An interest in social care, art, music, farming/gardening, homemaking or a specific craft is an advantage. Full training and induction into the role will be provided as well as mandatory external training. We look forward to hearing from you.
 
 
On the farm, we have milking cows, sucklers, followers, pigs, sheep, and chicken. We also grow potatoes and fodder crops. The garden produces fruit and vegetables for the community and also looks after the orchard.
