Co-Worker / Vocational

We are looking for motivated, energetic and responsible volunteers interested in joining our life sharing community to live and work alongside adults with special needs. You will join a vibrant young team of about 20-25 young adults from many different countries. The role involves living in a household in the community together with adults with special needs, supporting them in their day to day needs and work life. This role would best suit empathetic, caring and responsible people with a strong sense of commitment. Good English is essential and preference is given to those who can commit for the full year. An interest in social care, art, music, farming/gardening, homemaking or a specific craft is an advantage. English language is a key requirement. Qualifications: Good level of English (essential). Good communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience in Camphill (very good but not essential). We'll provide training for this task.

We need caring, enthusiastic and organized people who are able to help take care of the house, residents and also join our workshops.

Social Care Manager/Person in Charge

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a person with a strong management and leadership background, experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and complex health needs whilst offering person centered support in this unique Community.

You will require a sound understanding of regulatory requirements; have skills to lead the safe support to residents within a complex residential environment. You will have (a) minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care and (b) an appropriate qualification in health or social care management at an appropriate level. You will need to be committed to personal development and working as part of a team. The post provides the opportunity to work as part of a committed team with access to collaborative learning work within a leading national organisation.

The Community provides residential and day support services for 24 people. It is located a short distance from Gorey in an ideal coastal setting on a farm.
